    PHD Degree
    God Morning,
I would like to know if it is possible to obtain a phd for free, whether it be through scholarship, online or other. Years ago a Florida University was having trouble getting new instructors and offered a program where if you teach you get to get a Phd but then you had to stay three more years to teach for them. I want to get the Phd but do not want another loan, have my Masters in Education but need the Phd to get a fulltime position teaching.

    Thank you

There are scholarships and grants for PhD students.

You do not need a PhD to teach full time unless you are in a tenure-track university position. Is that your goal?

Do you want a PhD in education?

Someone told me recently that the education community is anticipating a big influx of funding in the next few years. I think you would find it easier to get a scholarship or grant in a couple of years.

Online courses are not free. They are there to make money.

I would check out the department of education website.

Also, is there no one at Central State that can help you with this problem?

I have not had the time to ask around, but thank you for the information.

Looking for funding is work. But I think you should start at the financial aid office at Central State. There may be something easy. And if not, they can get you started looking somewhere more fruitful.

Here's an example of a scholarship--it's pitched at environmental education, but you get the idea.
