I am looking at fitting energy saving products to my house. Solar panels, wind farm, extra lagging in loft/wallls etc. Does the Government subsidise any of these improvements ?

Clough
I apologise, I really am becoming an American ! I was born and lived in England until last year. Now am in Virginia, USA. I know the British Government give grants for energy saving devices. I assume the US does the same ?
I guess you are not this Clough:- BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Derby | Clough 'to become new Derby boss'
The government in New York doesn't subsidize upfront for energy saving products, but they will give you tax deductions when filing your income tax. You can claim energy efficient items like hot water heaters, furnaces, windows, and insulation. In New York there is a limit on the amount you can claim. I think I was able to claim $2,000 over a 2 year span on my windows. But you'll have to find out specifics from someone living in your state. You can also probably search Virginia's State website.
