If you are just trying to make the heat come on by jumpering the wires in the thermostat this is what you do.
Connect the wire that is on the R terminal to the wire that is on the W terminal.
I do not know why you are wanting to do this to get heat so I am going to give you this warning: When the wires are jumpered like this the furnace will not turn off no matter how hot it gets in the house. So do not do this and then plan on going to bed, or do not leave the house with the wires jumped.
