I want to know if its possible and how to wire a lamp that I turn on and off via the lamps' in line cord switch but I can also turn on and off via the wall switch.

The problem at the moment is that.. . If I turn the wall switch off, then I can not turn the lamp on via the lamps' in line cord switch and thus I have to get out of bed and turn the wall switch on, which turns the electricity on to the receptacle where the plug from the lamp is plugged into and thus I am able to turn the lamp on via its in line cord switch.

I want to be able to use my lamps' in line cord switch and the wall switch like I would any other normal 3-way light switch. If this is possible, I would very much like to know how. Thank you very much if you can.

To do this you must rewire the exisitng lighting circuit to add a two way swithc option on your wall switch and install a switch for the lamps socket
