    Noise pipe

During last ice storm I had left hot faucets leaking, to prevent freezing of pipes. Since then I hear high pitch sound in every hot water faucet. Once I open the hot water faucet, the noise goes away and then it comes back. It is driving me crazy with this noise.
    Thank you

You posted your question as a answer to someone in the heating and air section. You would never get a answer like that. Your question has been moved

Do you have a water softener? If so, put it on bypass and see if noise goes away. Very slim chance that this is your problem, but still worth checking out.

It is very possible that you have a leak in one of your pipes. Make sure all faucets and commodes in the house are not running. Now go to your water meter and see if you see any movement in the dials. Then if there is one small spinner on the face of the water meter that is to show if there is a slow leak. You may have one of these, if you do and if it is spining that means you have water going somewhere. I would then go to each commode, watch it for several seconds to see if water is going into the commode, do this with each commode. Also go to the water softener, if you have one, and listen there to see if you hear anything.
