You will never know if you don't try. Don't be afraid of rejection... be afraid of not finding out. If she says no, then no big deal, so long as you don't make it awkward. This kind of stuff happens all of the time, so go for it!

Colored if you really like this girl then you need to talk to her and ask her out.

Not making it awkward would be if she say no then just do not let it get to you, move on and find someone new - but keep your friendship the same.

Have you thought about putting your feelings down in a letter and handing it too her ?

Part of growing up includes overcoming your own fears. We all do this. We all have things in our heads creating scenes of awkwardness and discomfort. But we all have to face them and beat them.

    You can do it.

It's funny, often, when we finally get up the nerve to do something we're scared of, it turns out to be easy. Or at least it's not NEARLY as bad as our fears painted in our heads.

You can ask a girl out without making it an "end of the world" moment. You must simply plan it that way.

Don't: "Sally, I know we're just friends, but I've liked you for the longest time and I can't imagine being with anyone but you. Please be my girlfriend."

Do: "Sally, I'd like to go that new Brad Pitt movie next weekend, for some reason I thought you might enjoy going with me. Just me. Would that be too weird? What do you think? It's my treat, of course!"

Face it, do it. You'll be glad you did, even if she says no.
