I came across this painting in my Grandmothers cellar. It is oil, painted on heavy paper and then glued onto a stretched canvas.

The canvas is of excellent quality fastened to the streccher with tacks on the side. The canvas and painting may not be the same age.

There are initials at the botom right in the painyting that ap[ear to be DYF

Any help will be greatly appreciated

The artwork you posses is very indicative of the works of Marcel Dreyfus. The signature also appears to be a spot on match. I have yet to identify this particular piece of work though.
