I would like to relocate a bottom outlet toilet from it's current location at the plumbing wall and adjacent to the cold water valve to the opposite wall in the bathroom. In other words, I'm mirroring the location of the toilet along the centerline of the bathroom to the opposite wall 6'-0" away and then shifting it 1-6" to one direction along the new wall.
The bathroom is in an apartment building with stacked plumbing and the floors and ceiling are concrete. My intention was to raise the floor in the bathroom in order to allow for the slope of the waste line and water line. Is this possible to do? What would be the best approach? Eventually a contractor/plumber will do the work, but I want to make sure that I'm proposing something feasible. Thanks!

A 6' run will require 1 1/2" slope plus the thickness of the OD of a 3" PVC pipe plus the flooring material. You may be lokking at more than a 6" raise in floor height. Do you own this unit or rent, is it a condo?

Thanks so much for the prompt reply. Yes, it is an owner unit in a co-op. what we're trying to avoid is dealing with the downstairs neighbor by going below the concrete since most of the ceilings are exposed slab. A 6"-7-1/2" step would be fine. It sounds like your saying it can be done which is good news. Thank you.

I knoww this is not part of your question but I'd review the co-op rules and regs regarding making this kind of change. I had a condo and was not allowed to do this kind of work even though I owned the unit. If you do go ahead with the project I'd recommend making the new floor height equal to a normal step size .
