    Infected belly button piercings
So I got my belly button pierced about a week ago and I think itīs possible that it might be infected because its all red between the two ends and it hurts mildly mostl when I aplly pressure to it. Also there's some dry-ish kind of scabby stuff around the wholes that looks a little greenish yellow but I donīt think itīs puss because itīs not runny but I donīt know? If it is inffected what can I do? And how should I clean it and how often whether it is infected or not

Your piercer more than likely advised to clean your piercing a few times a day using some kind of anti-bacterial soap, have you been doing this? I personally have used Dial in the past for many of my piercings. Puss does not have to be runny and can become crusty, so your piercing could be infected.

I would advise cleaning it with Dial/anti-bacterial hand soap thoroughly 2-3 times a day. If the skin starts appearing dry do it a little less, listen to your body. If your infection does not start to clear in a few days you should go see a doctor.

In addition to what synthcrx said, I hope you're washing your hands before you touch it. Maybe clean it with bactine and see if it clears up

Oh gosh, my bad. I thought this would be common sense, I'll remember to be more thorough.

It is common sense, you're good. Sometimes people just don't think and I wanted to make sure we covered everything.
