    Health Rights in Portugal
Hi, I hold a portuguese ID card and passaport (both expired and due for renewal).

I have not lived in Portugal for many years but was there twice last year to visit my parents and all my family.

I am married to an Australian and I have Australian citizenship.

I have been living in the United Arab Emirates for the past year and not returning to Australia until 2011 or 2012.

I am due to have a baby. I am planning to travel to Portugal as I would like my baby to be born in Portugal.

Will I have the same medical/maternity rights as a portuguese residing in Portugal? I am try to decide if going to Portugal is an option.

    Thank you

Not so sure about medical benefits, but your baby will inherit dual citizenship from you, you must contact the nearest consulate offices to report birth overseas.
