I am looking for a movie back in the 60's or 70's about a black boxer and a white kid and the boxer had a left or right hook that they named mary lou or mary joe and whenever he was fighting and losing the kid would be on the sideline and say marylou or mary joe and somehow the left or right hand got energy/power and the boxer would win the fight, does anyone other that me remember this... please help. Thanks

I do have vague memories of this movie. Haven't seen it since I was a kid! I had to dredge my addled brain a bit, but I finally remembered the title, "Goldie and the Boxer":

Other than this, there doesn't appear to be much info on it. I had forgotten that O.J. starred as the boxer though. :confused: It was actually a pretty good movie, from what I remember.
