If it is prescription and it is not yours then yes they can get you for it.

There is Zantac and zanax. Zantac is for ulcers and such and is nonnarcotic.

Xanax (Zanax) is a tranquilizer used in the short-term relief of symptoms of anxiety or the treatment of anxiety disorders.

Therein may lie the mix up.

Get a lawyer... it is always the best route to go.

    Hello leonard:

If the prescription wasn't yours, you're toast... But, if they searched your car illegally, then you're not.

You need to hire a good lawyer.

What was the actual charge filed?

Having a bottle with someone else's name on it doesn't necessarily imply guilt. If you don't know the person and cannot justify why the bottle is there will hurt you though. I cannot imagine getting prosecuted for Zantac though as you can buy it at Walmart over the counter. That is an awful waste of someone's time.

Did they have probable cause for searching your car?

But like Artlady said, it was probably a mixup. Cops aren't always the brightest folk. Get a lawyer - this should get dismissed with little fanfare.
