I have a Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher MOdel 665.1359 that has been working well for several years. Today it just stopped responding. None of the lights on the control panel are working. I checked the house electrical panel and the fuse is not blown or tripped. I held the lock key down for four seconds and still no response. Any ideas?

Try turning off the power to the unit at the breaker box for 15 minutes and then reactivate the circuit breaker. This has worked on my unit. If that does not work then the power circuit will have to be tested where it hooks to the unit and then circuits tested in the unit itself till the defect is found.

If your dishwasher is a whirlpool built kenmore there is a thermal fuse on the main control that could be blown. You will have to dissassemble the door for access to the main control the thermal fuse is a small square device that is clipped on to the side of the main control. Usually on top. If this is the problem you can get replacements from the whirlpool repairman. Follow the intructions carefully because there are some very slight modifications that have to be made or you will have the same problem again.

I have no answers, but thought it was interesting that I have the same machine and the same problem only a day later. (mine stopped working on Saturday)
