    Pins & Needles
My 14yr old daughter is suffering from pins & needles. Every time she crosses her legs she starts getting pins & needles it tends to last for about 5-10mins.
I'm starting to get quite worried about this as it is happning more & more. Should I get her checked out and what is the reason for this?

It sounds like poor circulation. Does she get cold easily?
    Does she get leg cramps?

Yup, it's poor circulation. You know, I think that kid get that more than adult.
    Search Google on poor circulations

    I found this for you

Yeah, if it happens unusually common than that's something. I mean like every time she crosses her legs. Research first, doctor later. Ok?

Try B complex and vitamin C
Also make chili and recipes with cayenne pepper.
Switch to sea salt, Himalayan salt or celtic salt.
Cut out bad fats and junk food.

No she does not get cold easy, she hardly ever get ill not even a cough or cold when the rest of us are suffering. She does get a sore throat from time to time but, that's about it.

The other thing is that when she cry's her lips go purple but, they have always done that for as long as I can remember. Is that due to circulation?

This is ABSOULTELY related to poor circulation. As a nurse I would recommend you see your GP as soon as possible and ask if she may need to see a cardiologist.

Nestorian Agrees: Yes go see a doctor. It may be something called Raynaud's disease. But there are other possibilities. Process of elimination right.
It could also be a congenital heart abnormality seeing that the lips have been turning purple as long as the OP can remember. There are many ways that children make up for lack of oxygen when young, squatting for example is one of the ways they compensate. Many times congenital heart defects are not found until the early teen years.
