New slab concrete, cut or replace
Hello, Im looking for some advice, A car hit my home recently and it broke the cinder block in the basement, well this summer I had a new concrete patio poured, 1 slab. Well now to fix the foundation they have to remove part of the slab, they want to cut where the lines are in the concrete and just replace that part, my worry is setteling and heaving the part they want to remove is about 7x10. The whole slab is 30x10. This goes out to the inground pool apron. Also how close of a color dispare will there be. Should I have them replace it all, I don't want problems later on. The slab goes right up to the foundation of the house.

I'm a mason concrete contractor. I can just about guarantee you will not be happy with the concrete diff in color. Even when we pour new and use a different conc company it won't match. I personally would replace it all especially it sot pool for looks. It will look patched. I'm about 99.999999 guarantee. Concrete is so touchy that when we finish it and towards the end of the day a tool or something is dropped on morning pour you hit it with some water and rub finish out the blemish and it drys a different color. Even re activating the fresh top changes the look because you bring out more lime and changes color
