My period is 8 days late and I have had a negative home pregnancy test but I still have nausea, back ache, my nipples feel very hard and they tingle, I'm very emotional and I generally feel unwell. Is there a chance I could be pregnant or does a negative test mean a negative test and I should just relax and wait for my period to start?

Go to the Doctor and take a test there I took two Home Pregnancy Test that both turned out Negative and I really was Pregnant...

I would agree with making an appointment to have a more sensitive accurate reading done. Also they have a blood test that they can do. It is however very possible that you are experiencing some of signs of a troubled menstration or just a really tough one. Without knowing other circumstances in your cycle hard to say. Age will make a difference as well. I would most likely give it a few days or even just call the nurse line they will be able to ask the pertinent questions to connect the dots for you.
