    What you do
    Hello this morning I woke up got up to get my cup of coffee . I glanced out the window only to see the next door neighbor either beating his dog with a belt or punching him .I really couldn't tell cause it was still dark outside but he was swinging something at that dog and making contact .what should I do what would you do mind your own buisiness or report it .I know this neighber too we work together and all I know it seeing that is me messing me up emotionally .just imagine what the dog is going through .what should I do

    You call the local animal protection agency and tell them what you saw. Let them make the decision whether the animal is being abused or not.

    I've done a lot of work with animal rights and rescue groups and you can't just stand by and watch your neighbor literally torture an animal.

    Report it but make sure you use a public phone and *67 the call so there is no caller id. Although if you report to the police station the 67 block doesn't work. Workers are to keep the name of the caller anonymous for confidentiality but you never know what some people will do or say.

    Do not say ANYTHING about how he treats his dog to him.
