    Dual Thermostat Operation
I have a two story home with dual area thermostats. They are "Maple/Chase" and each has a small module in the lower left hand corner fed by a Red and a Blue wire. The markings are ""SENSE", a "+", a "-", a "VR1" and a "Q1". I resently had the downstairs unit replaced and the service tech said he had never seen a themostat with this module before. He clipped the wires and taped them off not to be used in the new unit he installed. Now, the heating doesn't seem to be working like it shoud. The heating unit only comes on "When It Feels Like It". I can't explain it any better than that. Last Friday evening the unit stopped working. It didn't return to working order until 3:00 am Monday morning. Has anyone run into this problem before? And, does anyone know what the module in the lower left hand corner of the 'Maple/Chase Thermostat' controls? Thanks.

They are temperature sensors and that is all I know about them. Those thermostats are somewhat older units. If you post the EXACT model number of the one in question I will try and locate the info but it may take a while to do.
