I moved a GE Hotpoint fridge up to the cabin two weeks ago it worked great that weekend, went up there this weekend nothing. The fan and compressor are running but it is not cooling properly. I inherited this from a friend. I moved it to my home by laying it on it side no more than ten minutes from point A to B until I could get a trailer to haul it to point C I let it sit for two weeks till it was hauled to C. it worked there. It is a sealed system with R-!to the local guy said he doesn't work on R-12 systems

If the fan and compressor are running then the problem is usually in the sealed system. Moving it around might have caused a small leak and that could be difficult to find with out the proper tools. Sorry but with the compressor running there is not much more info I can give you except to tap the sealed system and gauge the unit to see exactly what is going on. To bad your buddy does not work on R-12 systems but they have not been made for years and the cost of R-12 is very high.
