    Hi! I'm a student in physics and I need some help the question on my homework is A body is thrown downward with an initial speed of 20 m/s on earth what is the acceleration? I can't figure out how to get acceleration, please help!

    If a body is thrown downwards the acceleration will be that due to gravity. Which you can assume is 9.8 m/ss (meters per second squared)

    The acceleration is 9.8 m/ss because whatever the object is here on Earth, the acceleration is constant downward, which is the gravity
