    Ripping LP
I have been asked to rip an old vinyl album. The mechanics of it elude me at the moment. Has anyone here done this? What H/W and S/W would be the easiest to obtain and use?

    Check out this device:

It will do a better job of reproducing sound quality. Unless your sound board has separate channels for stereo, you lose it when you connect a phone directly to the line in port.
