    Isotretinoin Questions
I recently went to my dermatologist and we were discussing a new treatment for my acne because I had a serious allergic reaction while taking an acne med called solodyn. She said that she did not want to put me on any more of that kind of acne medication so she suggested maybe taking Isotrentinoin. She gave me a booklet on the medication and told me about the birth defects it causes and everything but I just had some more question about the medicine before I make my choice to go on it or not. I read in the book that you are not allowed to have waxing and this is sort of a problem for me because I get my eyebrows waxed monthly. I also read that it can cause bloody noses and I already get bloody noses frequently so this is also a problem. I was wondering about those who have tried the medicine. Did it work? Were you happy with the outcome? Were there a lot of side effects? Any information you could give me on the Isotretinoin would be very helpful.

I know many people who have had excellent results with Isotrentinoin or Accutane, one of them my son many years ago. l2 years ago it was only called Accutane and he had an excellent dermatologist. Side effects vary according to the individual and he didn't have any as far as I know because he was still living at home then and going to school. As with any new med, one has to use your best judgment along with recommendations of your doctor.

Google can put you in access with a website for either one of these acne meds and I think you should read up on both of them.
