:confused:ok so I have a one yr old morkie.. I have had him since he was just 3 months old.. and he was fine then.. but now he's crazy lol... he will run around the house being crazy... if I try to pet him he will back up even when I have food in my hand and I call him he will come to me but won't let me pet him or hold him... and I will have to leave the food on the floor... and if he does take it out of my hand he will take it and run away really fast... he barks when someone walks in the door he barks when he sees someone walking outside and I just can't train him to not do it I don't know what I am doing wrong... I want him to come to me when I call him and actually let me pick him up or pet him!. hes not stupid I know he's not.. I have thought him how to lay down head down sit roll over... sit on his legs with him paws in the air... paw... high five! So I know he's not stupid I just can't get him to stop... so if you have any idea on one thing or everything I listed please let me know!

When the dog do what you want you will reward him with a treat, and when he does something bad. Speak to him in a very dark voice. And perhaps just smack him on the nose, not hard - just so he can feel it.

Never acknowlege bad behavior when training. Period. Reward with praise and food treats when he does something good-I like freeze dried liver treats the best. Most trainers use them on all types of dogs. Both of the breeds in his lineage are sensitive, almost timid. He just wasn't solcialized correctly but he can be now. Plan some time to just sit in the floor with toys all around you. Have treats and a soothing voice for him. Think about how much bigger you are than him and how scary a huge hand coming at him may be! Always approach with your hand, palm up, BELOW his muzzle as coming from above can appear aggressive to a submissive pet. Patience and time as well as some basic training with Petco, Petsmart or your vet can recommend a trainer-puppy classes are best if you can attend with your puppy! Good luck!
