How to join pve pipe to copper

There are compression fittings/ couplings to do so. Or sweat a copper male that's threaded one side or copper female threaded one side to pipe and go with threaded male or female cpvc to connect to new sweated ends. Big box stores has what you need and the different fittings. Don't forget Teflon tape to connect threaded ends.
    This should answer it

    Hi Jjmjr:

Best way for a homeowner to join PVC to copper pipe is to use a PROFLEX or MISSION style SHIELDED CLAMP (see picture below). These are readily available at all home supply stores. These clamps are very specific and can be ordered to join almost any size copper pipe to almost any size PVC pipe... although some sizes may only be available at a PLUMBING SUPPLY HOUSE.

As 21boat pointed out, you could also solder a threaded female adapter onto the copper pipe (let cool completely) and prime/cement a threaded male adapter onto the PVC pipe and then join them using teflon tape or a good quality pipe dope.

DO NOT purchase the all rubber clamp with 2 SS bands... these are primarily for underground plumbing connections.

    Good luck...
