Merry christmas you guys! So my ex of 3 years broke up with me got a new girlfriend within a month and now over break he is bringing her home. We share the same group of close friends so I would have to see her... but instead I was thinking of visiting my big sis in my sorority when the girl comes up. I know I can't run away from it forvever but its only been like 2 months since he and I broke up and I feel like leaving is better then staying and reacting you know? Anyway does anyone have any advice? Is this a good idea?

Ps I went NC and I am doing REALLY well with dealing with my broken heart and getting back out there so if people need advice id love to try and help

I agree with Tal. I would go have a good time with sis, and not give them the opportunity to bring back old memories! It's very kind of you to offer to help others out. I'm sure there are many that could use a kind word this time of year especially!

Yep go have fun with the family, can't go wrong with that. No point to lose what progress you have made in what could turn out to be worse than any pervious fights or arguments with the ex you have had before.

Blondie, I agree that since it's the holidays, you should go see your sister. However, like you said, you can't run away from this forever. If I were you, and I didn't have a big sister to visit, I would go meet this heads on, and act completely nonchalant, to show the ex how you're doing. However, you do have a big sis, so go all out, and have a good time with your family.
