    Spit Happens

Do you mean the inner basket? Have you gotten the spanner nut and drive block off yet? The inner basket often gets rust up there and you should spray some lubricant around the centerpost. Let it sit for awhile. Then push down on the basket. Use rags on the edges so you don't get cut.
Try to trun the basket clockwise as you push down.
Then move the basket back and forth and side to side to loosen it. You might have to spray again and let it sit for awhile. I let mine sit overnight because I got tired of messing with it. It came off easier the next day. Make sure you clean up the inside of the "tube" of the basket with some steel wool or sandpaper.
To get the outer tub off use some liquid dish detergent.
