2004 Sunfire! I broke the windshield wiper
    K, I drive a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire.
I live in Michigan where the snow is non-stop :D

I reached out my window to grab the wiper to smack it down on the window to get the ice off it, but I hung on to long and OFF came the wiper. Ooooops!

I am not talking about the wiper is broke, the wiper is fine. I broke the end of the arm that holds the wiper.

Is this an easy item to find and replace?

    Thanks In Advance!

Local chevy or pontiac dealer should have one - most likely in stock.

    Should run u anywhere from 25 to 45 $...

If memory serves there is a nut that holds these on, so it should be easy to replace. Careful not to strip the teeth if it has them.

You should have no problem locating or replacing the arm.

As an IT student, take care of your Sunfire. If you use full-synthetic engine oil and change the oil and filter every 6,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first, your car will last a long, long time. Every 30,000 miles, drop and clean the pan, change the filter, and refill with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF. Regularly doing both of these things will save you a lot of money, in the years to come.

Thanks for the extra advice. I know a lot about cars as well and I do all of those things. I do keep great car of my car, well except for yanking the damn wiper off:o

But for real thanks for the advice. My car is probably the one things I take pride in the most, I have it so it looks good and runs nice, very nice, nice tires, rims, paint, window, tinit, aftermarket spoiler, exhaust, I just grabbed on the wiper too tight and forgot to let go!
