My boyfriend is an army soldier moving to Fort Gordon at Georgia. He is getting divorce on January or February in that state.

After that he is coming to Puerto Rico and probably Im moving with him to Georgia.

We want to know how long he has to wait after he get divorce, marry me.

What are the restrictions if any, base on the army.

There is no waiting period in Geogia. Your boyfriend should check with his commander about base rules and restrictions regarding cohabiting and remarriage.

Where is the divorce gong to happen, if it is a non contested divorce, there is a 30 day period after it is done. There is none on the contested divorce for it to be final.

But the laws differ by state, so the state he is going to file for divorce makes a difference

Idk by the sound of it if it's a good idea... Military marriage is actually harder than it sounds. There is months if not for some years of separation. You can't really move with him all the time.

I'm separated from my husband a lot because of the military (training deployment) You make it sound you expect something different and Like it will be a normal relationship

The military has the pretty much the same requirements as the state.
