Hey guys, me and my girlfriend have been trying to remember this movie.. . I remember seeing the previews for it on a paddington bear vhs tape I had as a kid. It has a family of mice who live in a garden next to a house, I believe other animals are in it as well. But 2 green cobras show up with yellow eyes and talk with a satanic kind of voice and have the hissing incorperated in their speech. They try to kill the mice, and a lot of the preview showed the snakes in the garden at night during a thunderstorm. She saw the actual movie, but doesn't remember much more than that. And I think my mom has long gotten rid of the that tape haha. Thanks!!

Yes that's it! God I remember that short story but I never put two and two together! When I was young I guess the mongoose looked like a mouse to me.. . I just watched it on YouTube, shorter than I thought it would be and wasn't the least bit creepy haha, but I guess that was my childhood imagination! Thanks, I wasn't going to be able to sleep till I figured it out
