There are probably 50 threads on this subject, all concerning the trucking industry. If you go to the "search" box at the top, next to the AMHD logo, and search out trucking jobs for felons they will pop up.

Otherwise - you have to keep applying for jobs. There is no easy answer here. Insurance becomes a problem, bonding becomes a problem.

Unfortunately you have to keep knocking on doors. Right now people without felonies are having a terrible time finding employment - it's the economy.

Day labor places to earn money fast,
Construction trades, roofing, concrete work. If you have your CDL, some jobs in tow trucks, dump trucks.

But right now jobs are tight, there are about 100 people applying for any one job, so it is a matter of odds

    Joajah,

You are in a great State to find a job... I have since relocated from TN Davidson County however, each county career centers are about the same. Please sign up with your local career center. They have a "bonding" program where they can bond you if a company offers you employment and the deciding factor will be your background.

It look like so many felons are running to the trucking industry, but there are so many other businesses that you can work in/for as well. You have to get focused on what your ideal job would be and then see how to get there.

    GOOD LUCK!
