If you filed your tax return with a tax website, contact the website to see if they can provide you a copy of the return. You may pay a fee for that copy.

If you used a local tax professional, he/she has a file copy, which they may provide for free, or, at most, provide a copy for a small ($5-$10) handling fee.

You can also call the IRS (1-800-829-1040) and ask them to provide you a free copy of your tax transcript, which includes a copy of your return in automated form. Most schools WILL accept the transcript inlieu of the actual tax return.
