I'm 8weeks pregnant and I'm very very ill.. flu type symptoms and terrible sickness. Do I need to be cheakd over?

It won't hurt... depending on how long you have been sick, if you can't keep anything down, even fluids, they will possibly give you some medicine to help with the nausea.

It would also be a good time to ask about what you can take during pregnancy for various illnesses. For example, what would your doctor/midwife prefer you take for a sore throat, headaches, upset stomachs, colds, etc.. Then you will know ahead of time what your doctor/midwife would suggest if any of those things arise later on too.
