    Mortgage financing while in bankruptcy
My husband and I filed bankruptcy (and are currently making monthly payments for 5 years). We did have a house in SC and have recently sold this property and need to buy another home for our family in LA. I was wondering if anyone knew of a company that would lend money for land/trailer to someone in active bankruptcy? Our house in SC was not included in the bankruptcy and we never missed a payment in 7 years. So, that part of our credit is fine.

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to know is to apply for financing at different companies and banks.

Unfortunately your credit report isn't broken up into sections and so you either have good credit or bad credit.

The fact that you cannot file again in bankruptcy (at least for next few years) might make you a fairly good credit risk.
