Need to answer judgement from court in Dearborn, Michigan
I was served judgement papers from a court in Dearborn, Michigan. I received them first in the US mail (postmarked Dec 11) and then taped to the front door (Dec 18.) It is for a debt that went to a collection agency in New York and than to a Law firm in Michigan. There are several dates on the papers, But I think I have until Jan. 7 to respond. I need to know how to respond to get more time so I can decide what to do. Is there a form I need to send to the court. I can't afford a lawer at this time. The amount requested has sky rocketed to $5,600.00. Thank You R. Sims
