Yellow water from cold & hot water lines on city service
I recently bought a house that is ~30 years old. It has copper pipes. When I first noticed yellow water I flushed my hot water tank, but the water problems persists and it occurs even when I'm running cold water. There is some sediment in the water that looks like the iron content in well water, but I am on a municipal water and sewer line.

The water department suggested flushing my pipes, but a local plumber said there is no such thing. Do I need to replace my pipes?

    Thank you,

Had a similar problem years back, the thing that fixed it then was the fire department ,would open up the fire hydrant, and let it run a while. And it would go away, but then return.
