.."I hope everyday I see a little more of my father in me".. what does it mean? Does this song means that my father is dead? Any more song suggestions? Please help me.. thanks..

The only thing that makes it look like the father could be dead is the past tense... like looked, used to say,

But basically the song is saying how the son is proud to be coming more and more like his father through the years.

i think its only saying "my dad is dead" if the lyrics said: he was, he said, and more past tense verbs. to me the song says: everyday i look more and more like my father who is very special and im proud to be like him.
