If you Google "conceive a girl" you will find a number of websites. They seem to be a combination of quasi medical advice and folklore but it also looks like some people swear the various methods work. (Of course, maybe they would have had a girl anyway!)

It appears to be a question of timing sex during your fertile days.

I have a pretty open mind about alternative meds and treatments, but I've yet to see one id trust as being consistently effective for gender selection. Meaning, I wouldn't waste any money on internet kits for gender selection.

of the common "home remedy" methods cited, I just haven't seen the statistical proof from a reliable, primary medical journal. If you find one, please send it to me. Id be glad to look it over... but many sites that talk about gender selection use the same text from site to site... just different graffics or perhaps a few minor changes here and there.

there are methods of predetermination... but these methods are generally reserved for couples with concerns about genetic diseases tied to gender. They are also expensive. And involve artificial insemination.

the topic of gender selection is a hot one. One person wishing for a girl or a boy sounds harmless... yet a culture or people that might value having males over females would be chastised for the same desire en mass.

Sure. Buy lots and lots of boy baby clothes. You'll be SURE to have a girl. Also another surefire way to get pregnant is to buy a year's supply of sanitary supplies. Now that one used to work like a charm with me so be sure to try that one.

so the month in which my son was conceived was the same month during which my beloved bought a super mega pack of tampons from sams club. Months and months worth.

she, to this day, says that she apparently mocked fate and it answered with definitive authority. =) oh well... glad I'm a daddy, but she refuses to buy anymore 6 mo supplies o' ladies "special" products.

then again... by habit or "bad wiring" I won't buy more condoms until I'm 3 within times of being without... just wired that way. Probably not union work or up to code. ;)
