Does anyone know if it violates Hipaa law, in Arizona, for a paramedic/EMT to keep "Run Sheets" at home of patients he/she has treated? Generally these are kept in case law suits arise later or for educational purposes. Thanks.

I think if the personal information is removed completely then it should be okay.

Is the information keep secure ?

Is the information give out ?

Merely having information of people you treat, should not be a violation.

They may not be allowed to keep a copy of their company paper work, but if they daily keep perosnal notes, I don't see an issue
