Hi I was told in a reading I once had that I would meet my soul mate when I was 25 and would get married to him when I was 26. I just wanted to know what a "soul mate" was in... I guess you can call it psychic terms. Can a person have more than one? And, if you know this, is there a connection between that and to astrology? If so what would it show between their and my astrological chart (in other words is there a way I could device his from mine, vise versa or does it just depend?)

I believe soul mate is simply when two people feel they have always known each other and they really don't need words to understand each other. Many people over use the term for anybody they like and want to be with.
I see many people who refer to the other as soul mate but they are always trying and catering to the other and 'make' things work. This is not a soul mate. A soul mate relationship should just work without trying to figure the other out and working on making it happen.

In 'psychic' terms many people believe you are connected through past lives but I do not believe in reincarnation. I do believe there is something to past lives and us but that we are not the actual souls of people in the past reincarnated.

Astrological signs can be a part but not limited to specific signs working together.
There is a lot more to consider. Some of the things I consider along with astrology signs is numerology, personality type--Sanguine/Melancholy/Choleric/Phlegmatic, and their background and baggage.

How do you know if you're connected numerologically? Mine are 11 9 9 9, is there a specific number that they go with?

The reason I was asking about the soul mate thing is because on a website it said something about flipping your chart and if that's how it looked in theirs than that would be your soul mate or something like that.

I don't know much about all the compatibility stuff and I am not sure what each of your number is representing since there are many in numerology. I would say you would be compatible with #9's and 7's as long as the 7's are not into addictions.

I had been married twelve years when I met my soul mate (or maybe my wife would prefer I use the term "soul sister"). I'm still happily married, and my wife and soul sister get along very well. In fact my wife and I are going down to San Francisco next March for my soul sister's wedding. What can I say? My life doesn't get boring... ;)

Anyway. Soul mates/siblings are people whose souls vibrate in a resonance that harmonizes with your own. That may be because you have connected in past lives, or for other reasons. But remember, as you grow and change, the vibrations of your soul change, too, so someone who is a perfect soul mate may be a casual friend at best a few years later, or vice versa. In other words, just because someone is your soul mate doesn't mean he or she will make a good spouse. And you may have lots of soul mates here and there in the world. In fact, you probably do. Our souls are like jigsaw puzzle pieces. This person may fit with us on one side, but some other person may fit on another side, and then there's this guy who fits over here. You might marry (and marry well) when you are 26, or maybe at a younger age, and maybe older, or never. Good psychics can and do predict the future. I usually use Tarot for that kind of work, and when I really need to know something about the future (my own or someone else's), or more often what would be a good choice or path right now in the present, if I do the work carefully and honor it and don't hurry, it usually works. I've tried predicting the future for people, but I'm usually pretty reluctant to do that. It isn't because I'm afraid it won't work. But rather because it can mess people up. It's too easy for people to get their heads wrapped around the prediction, maybe even call it their "destiny," and mess it up by trying too hard to make it happen, instead of just letting it happen in its own way. You are the author, producer, director, and moviestar of your own life. Make the story what you will. There is such a thing as Fate, surely. But you can neither make it happen nor prevent it, nor know until it happens whether the prediction is true (or perhaps is true in a way you didn't expect--classical mythology is full of those kind of double-meaning tricky predictions and prophesies). So relax, and work on being true to yourself and being able to reveal your true self wherever you go, just being yourself. That way, anyone who is your soul mate will have a chance to see your soul when they meet you, and realize that it fits their own.

A soul mate is someone that is makes you feel complete, that you are meant for. Both of you love each other. Psychics say a lot of things and sometimes they are true. I am not sure of the flipping and numerology. That would be one way of checking compatibility. If you see your soul mate you will know and you won't need numerology.
