    Mmr vaccine
I am 24 and have just had the mmr vaccine, is it normal to have massively swollen glands in the throatand aches and pains?

Yes, it is normal in some to have this effect for about 2 days. It is a side effect of being shot with a small does of the live bacteria. MMR by the way is Measles Mumps and Rubella.

During this time your body is building up a resistance to the diseases in question. If you begin running a temp over 102F then you should go to the doc or hospital.

In the meantime some acetominaphin (sp) will help with the swelling aches and pains.

It is normal, since the shot has a little bit of bacteria in it anyway. I agree with J__9.
