Cat has started losing his balance when set down after holding
We have a 4-5 year old male cat who, in the past week, has started swaying somewhat when I set him down. I will pick him up to pet him, and when I set him back down, it's like he catches himself from losing his balance. It's very slight, but noticeable. It may have been going on for longer than this, but I have only noticed it in the past week. He is otherwise healthy. Eats well, voids regularly, does not drink excessively. Could this be an inner ear problem? The onset of diabetes? HELP!

Iam not an expert on cats and maybe someone else else on the system is. Your cat is a bit like humans and could have an inner ear infection and the balance is effected. Or pressure on the brain from a cerbial growth of cancer or citcs. Your cat could have fallen and did some damage to the cortex area and nerve damage. Or maybe it's a heredity thing like with humans. Remember I am just giving Ideas I am not a vet
