60s and 70s country rock and bluegrass - 3 songs to identify
Okay, I've actually got 3 songs - two of which I know the song, but not who is singing this version and one I don't know anything about.

These songs are from an old tape someone made my brother in law about 20 years ago and I'm trying to get them all onto a CD for his Christmas present. They were on a mixed tape including Poco, Steve Goodman, Mac Wiseman, David Allan Coe so were talking mostly 60s and 70s country rock though one of these is very bluegrassy.

Because I already know the song but not the singer I've posted the recordings I've made - the links are below. You'll have to listen and see if you recognize the singer. I'm starting to get desperate - I've been searching for ages so any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Song 1 = Mac Wiseman
Song 3 = David Allan Coe

Song 2 also sounds like Mac but it does not sound like his type of music.

Thanks. Actually it turns out this Lonesome Blues is by Country Gazette. And unfortunately the person singing this version of "You never even called me by my name" isn't David Allen Coe so that one is still a mystery. I'll see if I can find anything like song 2 by Mac Wiseman, thanks for the tip.

The second one took awhile. Probably because it was from the early 80's and I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

It is Hey Lady from Murray Head's album Voices
