    Overheating on my honda
Hey guys I have a question. I have a 1990 honda civic it starts fine but after about 20 minutes the temp gauge goes all the way up to hot I changed the thermostat and did a coolant flush any sugguestions why its doing this? I was told the h2o pump or the head could be warped is that possible? Thanks

When you start it up be sure that the coolant is flowing correctly. You should be able to see this with the radiator cap off. But be careful to remove the cap before you start the motor. IS the coolant at the top of the radiator neck? Is the water pump belt tight? While it is running do you see lots of bubbles in the coolant? This could be a sign of a leak. How about coolant in the oil?
