    Electric Breakers
I have a Square D breaker 150 panel box in my home. I wanted to put in a double breaker (20 - 20) but they don't make one for my particular box (it doesn't push in far enough to put the cover on). The guy at the store suggested I file out some of the matterial on the breaker so it pushes in all the way. Is this safe?

    Thank You

Can you find single 20 amp breakers to fits your panel box, if so get two.You can make those into a 2/20 combined. On the breaker flip switch you will see a hole that goes right through the Handel This is for a heavy gauger wire to going them and combine it together in the box and now they become one They make clips for that. Now they will trip together. If not check your commercial electrical supply houses. I don't know how much needs filed and a pinch is well. But too much is oooooh. My first suggestion is the correct way. Unless you are off lining up the breaker to box clips
