I'm 19 and I have been dating this guy for almost 3 years now. We have had our bumps here and there with breaking up and getting back together. Longest breakup lasting about a month. I know I love him and that he loves me! We have actually talked about getting engaged in a year or so. Enough time to prove to myself and my family that we will stay together. But am I too young? :confused:

engagement for a year sounds like a decent amount of time.

this day and age, when people marry young, there is a big probability that it ends in divorce.

but what can you do? Ignore your feelings?

I do suggest a long engagement. Don't rush into things.

you may get people on your side and you may get people that will tell you their opinion that it is not a good idea.

take everyone's advice whatever it is! They are just there to help you :)
