    Lennox central h/ac unit on roof
    This unit is running but not pushing out cold air. When it was turned on for the first time the air was cool , but gradually stopped cool and is only pushing out hot. The unit seems to start up ok, (pulling air in), but the compressor doesnt seem to kick on. Where would the high pressure switch be to reset it to operate on cool- ? { lennox high-efficiency heating and cooling unit : CHP20V: 12:00 to 12.60 seer }

    Now its December, I wrote about a week ago {thought the problem was fixed....}
    The question now is how do I get the system back into winter mode, rather than summer?
    And, could resetting the high pressure switch reverse it back?

    What you describe sounds like a system running in the cooling mode without the outdoor fan running. Cool air at first, gradually increasing in temperature, and eventually triggering a high-pressure cut-out device. You may have to open the service panel and locate a cylinder-like device attached to a copper line, two wires leaving, and a push-button in the center. Be careful of moving parts when you reset and make sure the outdoor fan runs.

    >no brainer question: so the "button" that I reset is the high pressure switch... Just got to climb up there and press it? OK, be back in a bit...
