How do I hook up my thermostat
Hi my name is prosider, I'm new to this forum and need help with my heating thermostat. My question is: I replace my bryant thermostat with a honeywell, the wires coming out of the wall are red white green and blue, the terminals on the thermostat are rh rc w y g. I had red hooked to rh /w jumper wire to rc white hooked to w green to g and blue to y, but the furnace won't come on, the old thermostat would run the furnace but the display quit working so I couldn't tell what it was set at. I would appreciat any help I get. Thanks

Did you lose the instructions that came with your thermostat?

Best guess is that blue is your common/neutral and does not go on the y terminal.

But I cannot be sure until I know where that blue was on the old tstat, what manufacturer and model the old tstat was, and what model your new Honeywell is.
