Kenmore dishwasher model# 5871551590 not operating properly
I took the filter and bottom spray arms out of my dishwasher and cleaned them. I replaced the o rings on the bottom of the filter and put it back in. I hadn't used my dishwasher in a long time and it had a lot of scum/gunk/hard water deposits built up. I also replaced the tub gasket. I ran it through one cycle with some vinegar, it ran fine. I ran it through another cycle with bleach, it completed that cycle also. The next time I tried to run it, it filled up with water, then the motor came on for about 3 seconds and cut off. After much investigation I found that water had leaked from the bottom of the tub onto the motor. Not much, just a few drops, but is there some kind of kill-switch in the motor that won't allow it to run if it's wet? Everything else still works-the timer, the heating elements, the indicator lights, etc except the motor won't stay on, I'm assuming because it's wet. Can I just let it dry out, fix the leak, and try again? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Probably won't work even if it is dried out. Once a motor gets wet, chances are it's toast.
