Tetco heat pump and direct acting modulating valve
I have a Tetco AC50 "HE" with a C36 "WC". My unit differs from the AC50 shown in their online manuals in that it has three refrigerant ports. A "high liquid", a "high refrigerant pressure, and a "low refrigerant pressure. The "low refrigerant" port is connected to a "modulating valve" that is a Sterlco 56. This valve needs to be replaced but it is not listed any longer on Sterlco's website.

There is a similar Johnson V46-AC-1C, 3/4" 70-260 psig valve available online from Johnson controls. This seems likely the same valve listed as Tetco's V46-AC valve.

Does anyone familiar with Tetco know if the Johnson valve will work in place of the Sterlco valve and what it's operating pressure should be set at?

I have emailed Tetco but have yet to hear back from them.

    Thanks.
