I have been in a relationship for 2 yrs me and my boyfriend have been talking about getting married but he won't officially commit he says he is committed his job but wants to marry me I'm waiting. He doesn't have any children and I have 2 why might he not be proposing?

Many guys just say they want to get married because it is what their girlfriend wants. They will just say yes that is what they want to keep you dangling while they procrastinate.

I think he's told you. His priority is his job and that doesn't mean he won't marry you, just not at this moment. My question to you is, why are you pushing this on him at this time, it comes off like you are trying to force him into something, and if that's the case he's going to eventually run from it.

He isn't ready now, that's what he said, and I believe him.

Well he may be just taking things a bit slower to really and truly find out if you're the one for him. Unfortunately men tend to get cold feet when presented with any kind of talk concerning marriage.

Don't rush into anything... give him time, If he feels that you're pushing him into something, then he will most likely run for dear life.

No matter how much they say they're in love, men do not like to feel suffocated or shackled.

So show him that he has nothing to worry about.

Again I say give him time. And seeing as how he's stayed with you this long... the children probably have nothing to do with his inability to commit.
